Week 6: #13 Tagging and Del.icio.us

Despite setbacks with Library Thing and Rollyo, I'm moving forward to Del.icio.us. I've set up an account, added the buttons to my toolbar and I'm ready to add bookmarks. I've had a look at PLCMCL2's favorites on del.icio.us, and tagged some that interested me. I've made a network badge to be added to my blog, but will do this next week when I learn where to paste HTML! I've added a link to my del.icio.us account.

Week 5: #12 Rollyo

I had a look at Rollyo, and didn't like it and couldn't get it to do what it said it would. I don't know if this is because the internet is so slow, or because I'm doing it wrong.

At last!

Okay, keep your fingers crossed. I've been having trouble with the image geneators but I think I have it sussed now, if I can get it to load.

Well, after all the stressing, that worked so well let's do another!

I played around with a few image generators and found these two on RedKid.Net

I don't know that I'll use this much, but at least I'll know how to! Now I can move on to the next thing

Week 5: #11 Library Thing

I've had another look at Library Thing, and created an account. I now have another account for something that I will probably never use again. Do they expire if they aren't touched after a period of time?

I added a few books to my virtual book shelf, these are not necessarily books I own, just ones I'm interested in. Let's see if I can link my blog and my virtual library http://www.librarything.com/catalog.php?view=ryneliz

Success! I might even have another shot at Rollyo!

Week 5: #10 Online Image Generator

I'm having some trouble with this; I've read all the discovery resources, and played around with images but I can't get it to post to my blog. Obviously doing something wrong, where's a mentor when you need one! I'll have another try next week.

Week 4: # 9 Finding Feeds

Does 'Unshelved' count as library related?

I've subscribed to a couple of Library related feeds, but found too that searching can bring up a lot of rubbish.

Week 4: #8 RSS Feeds and Bloglines

This just keeps getting harder. But a little assistance and I'm back on track. I've looked at the CNET Video, the Using Bloglines Tutorial and the adding RSS feeds to Bloglines; I've set up a Bloglines account and subscribed to news feed, participants blog feeds, some tagged feeds and a few others.
I'm not up to the challenge of adding my bloglines URL to this yet. Maybe next week!

Week 3: # 7 Technology hates me!

Well, I nearly gave up. I can't do the Flickr montage I want to, but I found out it requires HTML input, so I've just postponed it. And I have posted a comment on another participant's blog. Now I'm moving on to RSS feeds - fingers crossed.
